Elizabeth Margaret "Betty" Farrar's Obituary
Elizabeth Margaret “Betty” Farrar, 88, of Inola, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Inola, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 1:00 PM. She was born on June 12, 1928, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Nellie (Crawford) MacNair. Betty loved to sew, knit, garden, and can fresh vegetables. She faithfully served others at her church by providing countless meals to those in the congregation as they faced various life events, and enjoyed sharing God’s word with children as a Sunday school teacher. She had a deep love and commitment to her family, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her children, Rusty Farrar, and his wife, Katherine, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Margaret Mathias, and her husband, Brian, of Inola, Oklahoma, David Farrar, and his wife, Kelly, of Castillian Springs, Tennessee, Jill Shaw, and her husband, Russell, of Inola, Oklahoma, and Jan Miller, and her husband, Bobby, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, brother, Jim MacNair, of Kenwood, California, and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. “Bob” Farrar.
