Elizabeth Anne Camille's Obituary
Elizabeth Anne (Beth) Camille, died February 18, 2011, surrounded by members of her family who witnessed her final victory over cancer. She was born September 5, 1943, in DeRidder, LA to David and Pearl Davies. Beth lived most of her life in Tulsa, graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1961. She attended The University of Tulsa and over the years became one of its most ardent and boisterous fans. She and her husband, Larry, were married for 48 years, during which time they shared many travel experiences. They especially enjoyed their years as Union High School Band Parents. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she served as a Stephen Minister and was a member of the Happy Christians Community. For a number of years she was a faithful participant in Green Country Walk to Emmaus. Her diminutive body housed an enormous heart that was especially drawn to children. For nine years Miss Beth was the smiling face that greeted The Little Light House families each day. In addition to her husband and father, Beth is survived by son, Ken (Monica) of Missouri City, TX and daughter, Renee, of Farmington, New Mexico, grandchildren Samantha Butner and Mason, Marshall and Michael Camille, sister Jan (Jay) Weinheimer, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Beth's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 21, in the Mason Chapel of Asbury United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors at Floral Haven Sunday, February 20, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Contributions in Beth's memory may be made to The Little Light House, the Card Ministry of Asbury UMC, the Card Ministry of First UMC, Broken Arrow, or John 3:16 Mission. Beth's family would like to thank members of the Happy Christians Community, Soujourn Hospice and Clare- House for their compassion and care.
