Ella Marie Kamp's Obituary
Ella Marie Kamp lived a long full life before she gained her angel wings to leave this temporary life of pain and struggle here on Earth. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa. Marie was born on March 27, 1945, in Vancouver Washington to parents, Jorgen Andreas Lyngheim of Norway & Ella Mae Smith of South Dakota.
Marie loved to travel, loved the beach, and loved her family more than anything! She was a wise & strong woman with a bold but sleek presence. She hated her picture taken but always wore a beautiful smile and always seemed to have a blissful happiness about her, when Sonny wasn’t driving her crazy anyways. She spent her 80 wonderful years spreading love, joy, sarcasm, and sass to any and all around her. She didn’t boast about her beliefs but could recite her favorite verses from memory even in her final days. To have met her was an honor but to have known her was a true blessing!
Marie was preceded in death by her parents (Jorgen & Ella Lyngheim), her daughter (Darlene Bonds), her beloved husband (Clarence ‘Sonny’ Frank Kamp, Jr.) whom she’d often refer to as quite ornery and grandson Kevin Salinas.
She was survived by brother & wife (George & CJ Lyngheim), daughters (Peggy Salinas, Angel Weaver, & Zelinda Shipley), son (Scott Kamp), 9 grandchildren (Jason, Crystal, Tracey, Rachel, Beka, Julie, Rick, Sunnie Dawn, & Curtis), 18 great-grandchildren, & 1 great great-granddaughter.
