Ellegria "Sue" Walker's Obituary
Ellegria “Sue” Walker, born on February 22, 1925, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and cherished memories.
Sue is survived by her son, David Owen Walker, and his wife, Janet; her sister-in-law, Esther Sanco; her brother, Sammy Sanco; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who will forever miss her.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Earl “Owen” Walker; her son, John “Scott” Walker; her parents, Martin Thomas Sanco and Lucy Venona Sanco; and her brother, Bobby Sanco.
Sue was not just a doll maker but a true doll artist. She meticulously crafted every aspect of her porcelain creations, from the mold of the doll, down to the shoes. A bedroom was a testament to her artistry, filled with her beautiful creations that adorned the floor, walls, and bed.
Her talents extended beyond doll making. Sue was an accomplished quilter, and her family lovingly remembers her quilted creations. She also made clothes for Barbies and her family, always with a keen eye for detail and precision.
Sue’s creativity was matched by her skills in the kitchen. She was a talented baker and cook, delighting her family with her culinary creations. An avid reader, she had a special love for the works of Nicholas Sparks and Charles Martin. Sundays were special to her, as she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles from the Sunday paper, and visits from her son and daughter in law.
Sue also had a soft spot for raising chickens, and loved the outdoors. Her life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and dedication, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
