Ellen Wood was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and nana. She is survived by her husband, Mike; her daughter, Karen; her granddaughters, Bethany, Megan, and Michelle; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Abigail, and Michael.
Ellen passed away from cancer on May 27, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she had lived for the past 20 years. She was born to Sterling Almond and Opal Inez (Eutsler) Bozarth on September 6, 1949, in Webb City, Missouri, and grew up in Joplin, where she lived for many years. She graduated from Joplin Senior High School in 1967 and later attended Southern Missouri State College.
Ellen enjoyed volunteering at the Broken Arrow Little Theatre and dedicated more than 10 years as a docent at the Tulsa Zoo. Her true joy was traveling, especially cruising to many destinations with Don and Joyce Crain.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tulsa Zoo Foundation.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
