Elsie V. Ellsworth's Obituary
Elsie Virginia Baker Ellsworth passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Inverness Village in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Elsie, age 90, was born on December 23, 1925 in Yonkers, Oklahoma to parents Thomas Ross Baker and Laura Ellen Stevens Baker. She was the eighth child of 13. Elsie attended her general education at Beggs, OK. After graduation, she worked as a telephone board operator for Southwestern Bell in Tulsa, OK. She married her WWII returning hero Charles R. Ellsworth, Sr. on January 23, 1945 in Tulsa, OK. Elsie and Charles raised their four children in Stroud, OK and were actively involved in the First Assembly of God church. After retirement, they returned to the Tulsa area where they were active in Woodlake Assembly of God. Elsie is survived by her brother Bob Baker of Tulsa, OK; three sisters Geri Copeland of Bartlesville, OK, Lucy Piazza and Della Davidson of Inverness Village, Tulsa, OK; and her four children, Janice C. Ellsworth Allen and husband Chuck of Owasso, OK, Charles R. Ellsworth, Jr. and Grace (King) of Cushing, OK, Robert A. Ellsworth and Kristin (Shepard) of Sand Springs, OK and Thomas Kevin Ellsworth and Lisa (Lester) of Sharpsburg, GA. Elsie was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Ellsworth, Sr., her parents Ross and Laura Baker, two brothers Vechel “Bake” Baker and George Baker, and six sisters Hallie Brady, Ina Degraffenried, Velma Irving, Jean Exendine, Millie Flavell and Ima Jean Baker. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Woodlake Assembly of God, 7100 East 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Internment at Floral Haven Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
