Jean Grimm's Obituary
Emily Jean Turner Grimm passed away Tuesday July 12, 2022 at Clarehouse Hospice Home in Tulsa, OK at the age of 79.
Jean was born on December 19, 1942 in Holdenville, OK to Burley and Mae Madden Turner. Jean graduated from Moss Public Schools in 1960. She also attended East Central University with a degree in Education. Jean was married to Buddy Grimm from March 1970 until his death on May 5, 1999.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dale Turner and her husband Buddy Grimm.
Jean is survived by her sister Linda Turner Harmon and husband Vernon Harmon of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her sister-in-law Kathryn Turner of Holdenville, Oklahoma, three nieces, Shelley Phelps of Broken Arrow and her children, Dakota, MaKenna and grandson Devin, and Zane Phelps,Tammy Griffin and her husband Johnny Griffin of Holdenville and their daughter Ashlyn Byerly and her husband Calupe Byerly and grandchildren, and Boone Griffin, Toni Wright and her husband Roger Wright and their children Kiersten Winslow and husband Cody Winslow, children Kayne and Kastle, Tabor Haws, and daughter Carissa Wright. Jean also has two step children, Mark Grimm and his wife Jenny and children of Edmond and Marla Mosby and her husband Brad Mosby of Norman, OK, and their children and other relatives, friends and especially her best friend Ollie Blakley of Yukon, OK.
Services will be held at Banner Baptist Church at 7987 Highway 270, Holdenville, Oklahoma on July 23, 2022 at 11:00 am.
This is a celebration of Jean's life and she requested prior to her death that she wanted people to wear bright colorful clothes and not be sad.
