Emma Florence NormanEmma Florence Norman of Tulsa passed away Friday, February 16, 2018; she was 95 years old. She was born February 10, 1923 in Wilmington, Massachusetts and is one of 7 children born to Allen and Emma Young. She married James Calvin Muir in 1943 after his return from World War II and raised a family of 5 boys. Following a divorce from Calvin Muir, she married Robert “Bob” Norman on June 23, 1970 in Elburn, Illinois. After moving to Tulsa in 1970 to follow Bob’s employment, Emma worked in the gift shop at Raley Pharmacy for many years. Loving to travel, Emma and Bob were members of The Holiday Rambler RV Club. Upon retirement in 1992, they spent several years living and traveling full-time in their RV. Emma was a wonderful cook and loved to bake often sharing baked goodies with family and friends. She was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Emma is survived by her son Wayne Muir and his wife Kathleen, of Morrison, Colorado, her son James Muir and his wife Mary of Tulsa, daughters-in-law Romona Muir of Sperry and LaDonna Muir of Claremore, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She is preceded in death by Calvin Muir, her husband of 30 years Robert Norman, sons Bruce Muir, Dean Muir and Dale Muir, all three are from the Tulsa area.Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Floral Haven Funeral Home (918 252-2518). The funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Floral Haven Chapel, immediately followed by her interment at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Following the Service, the family would like to invite friends to join them at the Floral Haven Family Center in celebration of Emma’s life.
