Jean T. Clearman's Obituary
Miss Emma Jean Tate Clearman, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025. Born in 1926, Emma grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and was a proud graduate of Tulsa Central High School. She continued her education at Tulsa Business College, where she honed her skills for a successful career.
Emma moved to Dallas, where she served as a corporate secretary at the Leggett Company until her retirement. Her professional life was marked by dedication and excellence, but it was her vibrant spirit that truly defined her.
An avid fisherman and square dancer, Emma found joy in the great outdoors and community activities. She loved to travel and spent countless weekends bowling with friends. In a testament to her playful nature, she even shared her home with a pet monkey at one point.
Emma was known for her warm hospitality, often hosting gatherings filled with laughter, card games, and dominoes for her friends and church community. Her creativity shone through in her handmade tooth fairy pillows and baby blankets, which she sold with pride. There was even a time for a celebration in their small town, she painted all the fireplugs to look like different little people.
Emma Jean Tate Clearman leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love. She is survived by her loving family and a host of friends. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
