Emma Wiggs' Obituary
Emma Wiggs, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
Born on September 20, 1936, in Houston, Texas, Emma was the cherished daughter of Isaias and Luz (Juarez) Arenas. She grew up with a love for family, faith, and community, values that guided her throughout her life.
Emma dedicated many years of service working in administration for the Corps of Engineers in Tulsa, where her diligence and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends. Outside of her career, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking for loved ones, tending to her plants, sewing, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing volleyball, a reflection of her spirited and active nature.
Her faith was central to her life. Emma loved God deeply and read her Bible daily, drawing strength and peace from her devotion.
She is survived by her children, Greg Wiggs and his wife Mary, and Alpha White and her husband Joe; grandchildren, Ian Wiggs and his wife Tayler, Aubrie Grapes and her husband Jedah, Megan Dodwell and her husband Josh, and Joseph Kyle White; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Dodwell, Lauren Dodwell, Anorah Wiggs, Eileigh Freeman and one eagerly awaited new arrival.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Isaias and Luz Arenas, and her brother, Isaias Arenas Jr.
A private family Celebration of Life Service will be held to honor Emma’s memory. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
