Ernest LeRoy Van Frachen's Obituary
Ernest LeRoy Van Frachen was born in Allouez, WI on February 23, 1938. Surrounded by his family he died peacefully on December 14, 2012 at the age of 74. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Van Frachen and Margaret Baumgart. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Pollen and children, Mary Jones and husband, Donnie, Wanda Sullivan and special friend Heriberto Castillo, Susan Carr and husband, George, Linda Gutierrez and special friend Bill Van Pelt, siblings, Jackie & Jim Barrett, Gary & Lois Van Frachen, Sharon & Ron Herzog, Pauline & Hector Rodela, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Pamela Willis and husband, Terry and sister-in-law, Diana Cameron and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ernie served 21 years in the United States Navy and was very proud to serve his country. After retiring from the military, he worked for American Airlines and then Amerada Hess. Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Floral Haven Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made in his honor to the Heart & Kidney Foundation.
