Estelene Catherine Underwood's Obituary
Estelene C. “Kay” Underwood, 100, of Salem, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Salem Center. She was born in Barry, Missouri, February 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Estes W. and Stella Bertalot Riddle. She was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Underwood, Jr.
Surviving are her brother, Jay Riddle and his wife Phyllis, Phoenix, AZ; her sister, Willadean Simpson, Tulsa, OK; her nephew and caregivers, Mike Underwood and his wife Barb, Salem; and several other nieces and nephews.
While she never had children of her own “Mama Kay” was always a good mother to her family and kept a wonderful house. She was an excellent horsewoman in her younger years. She was just as spicy as she was sweet. She was a member of the Shirley United Methodist Church until her health prevented her from attending.
Family and Friends will gather at the Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th St., Broken Arrow, OK, on Monday, March 16th from 9:30am until the time of the Graveside Service at 10:30am at Floral Haven Cemetery.
