I will always remember Gene as bigger than life. I have so many memories of him and his family next door. We would go over there it seemed all the time and cook out. Us kids were relegated to the family room to play while the "grown ups" would play cards, talk and socialize. Once, they were even dancing and they let us kids join them. I believe he was my first slow dance. Rest in peace, Gene. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.Kelly (Erkin) Thomas
