Eugene Swofford Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Eugene Swofford Jr. passed this life on February 10, 2011at his home in Tulsa. He was born August 4, 1924 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Turner and Eva (Johnson) Swofford. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Swofford was a brake operator for Crane Carrier. He is survived by his wife Janice “Louise” Swofford of the home, 3 sons, Bobby Swofford, Gary Swofford, Mike Swofford and a daughter Janice Price. There are also 3 sisters, Elizabeth Elmore, Betty Honey, Joann Gosnell, and 2 brothers also left Jimmy Swofford, Thomas Swofford to mourn his passing. Mr. Swofford was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren left to carry on his legacy. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at the Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney James officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens Veterans Field of Honor. Friends may contribute to charity of choice.; There will be no visitation or viewing.
