Eunice Christine Shearman's Obituary
Eunice Christine Shearman, 83, of Coweta, passed away at St. Francis Hospital on October 3, 2015, after a blessedly short battle with cancer. Her daughter was by her side. Christine was born on September 28, 1932 in Newport, OK to JL and Ella Lee Lewellen. Christine was active for many years in HCE. She enjoyed helping with 4-H and judging at county fairs. She worked for the Wagoner County Election Board as an inspector, decorated cakes and machine quilted quilts. She belonged to Lone Star Baptist Church where she enjoyed helping with Bible School. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Patricia R. Harris, her son, John Richard and her husband of 51 years, Richard K. She is survived by her sister, Betty McCullugh, her sister, Mary Jo and husband, Claud Johns, her brother, JR Lewellen, her sister in law, Barbara Shearman, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, her daughter, Beverly and a great many friends. Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
