Eva Lee Mauck's Obituary
Eva Lee Mauck went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2020. The older of two children born to Albert and Mary Bob Thomas, she was born during World War II on February 16, 1945. Albert was part of the U.S. Army Air Corp., and her birthplace was where he was stationed at the time: Walla Walla, Washington. The family later settled in Odessa, Texas, where Eva graduated from Odessa High School and attended Odessa Junior College for one year. She then began secretarial work for Texaco Oil Company, where she met Ted S. Mauck, and the two were married. They lived for a short while in Pecos, Texas, and welcomed their daughter Mary in 1971. Shortly after her birth, they moved to Denver, Colorado as a result of a job transfer. They welcomed their son Ted T. Mauck in 1975. The family later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1985 as a result of another job transfer; however, they returned to Colorado nearly every summer to enjoy the beautiful Colorado Rockies.
Eva was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a loyal friend, and her generosity and lovingkindness were a testimony to her faith in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed gardening and loved her “fur babies” almost (but not quite) as much as she loved her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Ted; her daughter Mary; her son Ted and daughter-in-law Lorrayne; her grandchildren Teddy and Teagan; her brother Ernest Thomas and sister-in-law Rebecca Thomas; her cousin Kay Lynn Lawrence; and her brother-in-law Bill Mauck.
