Evea Leta “Skeeter” Smallwood, 64Evea Leta “Skeeter” Smallwood, age 64, died at her residence in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on Tuesday October 25, 2016. Born December 29, 1951, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Glatha and Eugene Sullivan. She attended and graduated from Claremore High school in 1970. After High School, she worked as a Secretary, and later fell into property leasing management positions. She is most remembered for the 20 years that she worked for the Union School system, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was known for her welcoming smile, and warm greeting at the front desk at the 6th/7th Grade Center. She retired in 2003, due to extensive health issues. Skeeter was an excellent cook, and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She also loved gardening, and enjoyed watching home and gardening channels. Likewise, she loved collecting crosses and angels. She greatly enjoyed being a mom to her daughter, Casey. Skeeter was extensively involved in her daughter’s upbringing and activities, including volunteering at the school and Church. Her proudest accomplishment of all, was being a grandparent “Me Me” to granddaughters, Karis, and Kandra. They were her world, and brought her much joy! Skeeter is survived by her parents, Eugene Sullivan, and Glatha Berry; her siblings Larry and Pam Sullivan; daughter Casey McCorry and son-in-law Keithan; and two grandchildren, Karis and Kandra McCorry; nephews Kevin, Jeff, and Jordan Sullivan along with other and numerous extended family members, and friends. Memorial Service will be 12:30 PM, Tuesday, November 1st, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
