Evelyn Robinson's Obituary
Evelyn Cheely Robinson recently left our world. Evelyn was a daughter, sibling, wife and mother to 3 children. Evelyn was born on November 21, 1924. Her parents were Lee and Mildred Cheely who lived in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She was the 2nd oldest of 4 children. She had two sisters, Pauline the oldest and Georgia the youngest girl. Her brother Parker was the youngest in the family. The siblings were very tight knit with each other and their parents. Evelyn lived most of her life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Evelyn had three children, Larry , Carol and Barry. Larry and Carol both preceded their mother in death. When Evelyn died she had one living son, Barry. It should also be noted that Evelyn was the last Cheely sibling to pass away. She had out lived them all. When my aunt Evelyn was younger I remember she always drove a Thunderbird when they were cool and Elvis was usually on the radio. She was fun, colorful ands loving. She also called things as she saw them. I’m sure she is in heaven having a laugh that she out lived them all. In later life, she finally found her soul mate in Charlie Robinson. Charlie fit right in with the Cheely family and Evelyn and Charlie stayed close to her siblings in her 60’s, 70’s, 80’s. For us that are still here, we will remember our grandparents Lee and Mildred, the fun we had on their farm and the close bond that existed throughtout the family and their children.
