Everett Ray Tippin's Obituary
Everett Tippin was born on December 27, 1931 in Hugoton, KS. Everett was one of five children and went on to have three children himself with his beautiful wife Hazel. As a young boy, Everett fell in love with fishing and art. Growing up watching his father and brother in the sign business, Everett found a passion for drawing funny cartoons and letters and became an exceptional artist. If he wasn’t gardening, drawing, reading, or listening to country music, everyone closest to him knew where to find him, the fishing hole. Once a year for over twenty years, Everett and his friends would take a trip down to Mexico to fish. He was always talking about how he and his buddies would catch dozens and dozens of fish in a single evening and everyone could tell how much joy he really got out of fishing. Apart from his love for fishing and drawing, Everett was a loyal and loving man to God. He and his wife, Hazel were members of 10th and Rockford Church of Christ. Everett is survived by daughter, Saundra Wilson and husband, Walter; sister, Virginia Upton; grandchildren, Walter Phillip Wilson, James Allen Wilson, Andrew Robert Wilson, Ali Bukhres, Grant Miller, Chance Granger, Dax Nightingale and wife Yanorie, Dae Elizabeth Lowe and husband Brandon, Dara Gilliaum and husband Michael, Danielle Haunschild and husband David, and Darcie Nighingale; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews. Everett is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel Tippin; son, Michael Tippin; daughter, Becky Tjaden; brothers, Vernon Tippin and Bernie Tippin; and sisters, Genevive Wilson and Geneva Wilson. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Suites, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 13, 2018, 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
