Ezekiel Brian Meier's Obituary
Obituary for Ezekiel Brian Meier Ezekiel Brian Meier was born April 18, 2011 to Brian and Shannon Meier. Those around him affectionately knew Ezekiel as Baby Z. His countenance was always happy; he had very few days that he would not smile a supernatural smile. From the time he woke up till he went to bed, he was in a good mood and wanted to share it with everyone. His favorite time of day was when his siblings would get out of school; he would get so excited sitting in his car seat when they would come walking around the corner at school. Ezekiel was a bright light to anyone in a dark place. If he saw someone mean, rough, or sad looking, he would persistently catch their eye and smile; the persons face would change and their hearts would soften. In a couple of minutes they would be playing with him. Ezekiel loved music; he danced to the intro to Curious George, but even loved classical and choir music. When Ezekiel was sick and in the hospital, his parents would play classical and Christian music for him, and at times he could be seen eyes closed lifting his hand into the air to direct the music as it played. Ezekiel was not supposed to be alive; he had a congenital lung defect that should have killed him shortly after birth, however it was not detected until he was 16 months old. He lived an additional 6 months after detection before dying of a complication to the treatment. Before the lung defect revealed itself, Baby Z had a very full life; he went to Colorado for vacation, to Disney World in Florida, and to a water ski trip in Oklahoma. From the time he was born, Ezekiel had an effect on everyone around him. Since he went into the hospital in October of 2012 until the day of his death, he has brought Christians all over the world closer to the Lord. The lasting eternal effect of Ezekiel's short life has been greater than most people have in a whole lifetime. On February 25, 2013 Baby Z died in his mothers arms while listening to some of his favorite Christian choir music. As the choir lifted up the theme 'Holy is He,' Z transitioned from the arms of his mother, to the arms of Jesus Christ. His mother and father count themselves as blessed to have been graced with such a true miracle. Ezekiel is survived by his father Brian, his mother Shannon, his sisters Sherilyn and Lacey, and his brother Samuel of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. .
