Faye Geraldine Whitwell Johnston, 93, passed from this life on July 6, 2014 in Noble, Oklahoma. Faye was born on January 7, 1921 in Miami, Oklahoma to Dennis Welch and Sara O’Belle (Montgomery) Sellars. She is preceded by husbands, DeWitt T. Whitwell and James W. Johnston; parents; Dennis and Sara Sellars; twin sister, Mae Maxine Turley; brother, Frank William Sellars; sister, Alice Julia Clanton; sister, Edith Dovi “Snookie” Garat. Faye is survived by her loving children, Tom D. Whitwell and wife, Sara and Donna S. Hammons and husband, Ronald; grandchildren, Dedra S. Redwine and husband, Philip II, Keather A. Hammons; great grandchildren, Hayley Redwine, Brooke Redwine, and Philip “Trace” Redwine III. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Gideon’s Bibles. A memorial graveside celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Reflections.
