Faylene York's Obituary
Faylene York grew up in Massachusetts in a large family and dedicated herself to them with a sense of commitment to her own parents, grand parents, in laws and household. She excelled in the causes of her family with love and support. Lewis York married Faye when she was 20 and he 19, and they lived a long happy life together for 72 years until her passing. While he was away in aviation mechanic school, she worked in a shoe factory and had done electronics assembly work in WWII.The couple became foster parents and moved out of state when they adopted their beloved daughter Rebecca. Faye cared for the concerns of others and would pray for them at night in her bed. In the morning she would encourage them with hope and advice. Her fun loving spirit gave others joy and she appreciated others for their experiences. Life was her buffet. She regularly traveled the country with her husband for years camping and visiting back east. She enjoyed her days playing golf and being a dedicated member of Tulsa’s Walking Club and various social groups. She delighted in her daughter and grandkids and supported them with love and pride in who they were. Faye’s life stretched long and far making all the difference in the world to those she was destined to touch.Faye will be forever cherished and remembered by her loving husband Lewis R York, her daughter Rebecca, and her grandchildren Rachel, Stephen, and Wayne.
