Fermin Trevino III's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Fermin Trevino III
It is with profound love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Fermin Trevino III, who joined our Heavenly Father on May 31, 2026, at the age of 60.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Fermin grew up in his grandfather’s mechanic shop, where he developed a lifelong passion for working with his hands and a deep appreciation for classic cars—especially his beloved 1963 Ford Galaxy. On April 2, 1984, he married his high school sweetheart, Florinda Trevino, beginning a beautiful 42-year marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised four children and built a life centered on family.
Fermin was a true craftsman, a handyman of all trades who accepted nothing less than perfection—earning him the affectionate nickname “Diva.” He loved the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or relaxing on the back patio. He had great ingenuity and patented the bedside gunlock. His career as a district manager was marked by dedication and excellence, earning him numerous awards and accomplishments.
At the age of 50, Fermin moved to Oklahoma to be closer to his grandchildren. Diagnosed with cancer at 53, he retired early at 55 to embrace farm life, tending to his goats, chickens, donkeys, and cows. Above all, Fermin was a family man—steadfast, supportive, and always ensuring his loved ones had everything they needed and more. His presence, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed.
Fermin is preceded in death by his father, Fermin Trevino Jr. He is survived by his mother, Martina Trevino; his beloved wife, Florinda Trevino; his sister, Jeannette Payne; his brother, Joseph Trevino; his children, Fermin Trevino IV, Amanda Zimmerman, Jaime Trevino, and Alessandra Soto; and his cherished grandchildren, Adriana Soto, Gabriella Trevino, Luis Soto Jr., Isabella Trevino, Daniella Trevino, Fermin Trevino V, and Roman Trevino.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 20th at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 807 E Crafton St, Tahlequah, OK 74464. Mass will begin at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." — James 1:12
