Reaves, Flossie Darlene's Obituary
In loving memory of Flossie Darlene Reaves. She went by the name of Darlene to her friends and family. Darlene reached the age of 90 before joining Doyle and Linda on Friday, November 28, 2025. Darlene resided in Broken Arrow since 1999 and lived at her home in Broken Arrow until her passing.
Darlene was born in Marland, Oklahoma, on September 15, 1935, to Vernon and Flossie Thompson. Darlene married Doyle Reaves, the love of her life, on May 13, 1953. Darlene and Doyle lived in Ponca City, Oklahoma, for many years before moving to Broken Arrow. Darlene and Doyle enjoyed traveling to the mountains where they hiked and took lots of pictures. Darlene loved her family, gardening, flowers, shopping, diamonds, pizza, and peanut M&M's
Darlene was preceded in passing by her parents, Vernon and Flossie Thompson; her sister, Twila Powell; her brother, Charles Thompson; her husband of 66 years, Doyle Reaves; and her daughter, Linda Reaves.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Donna Kendle and her husband Gary; her sisters, Jody Ailey, Judy Watkins and her husband, Larry; grandson, Jeremy Kendle and his wife, Heidi; her grandson, Jordan Kendle; great-grandchildren, Avery, Harper, and Sutton Kendle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
We will gather to celebrate her life on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Family and friends are welcome to stop by from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 4th, to pay their respects.
Thank you in advance for choosing to join us on this glorious day. Darlene had a strong faith and was dearly loved. Darlene had to overcome many daily challenges and has got to be a candidate for one of the toughest women that formerly walked the earth. Now she can painlessly walk in Heaven!
