Floyd Daniel Rigney's Obituary
Floyd Daniel Rigney, 81, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born September 11, 1935 to George Floyd and Bertha Ellen (Adams) Rigney in Checotah, Oklahoma. Floyd married Delphia Nichols, the love of his life who he always called Dusty on December 23, 1952 , in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He worked in the building industry in California as a home developer. He enjoyed golfing, snow skiing and traveling the world with Dusty. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Jasper Rigney and Cecil Rigney; and his sisters, Dorothy Owens, Elva Myers and Lucy Dornan. He is survived by his wife Delphia Rigney of the home; children, Dan Rigney and his wife Jamie, of Austin, Texas and Robin Brandt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Drew Rigney and his wife Chelsea, Jonathan Rigney and James Rigney, all of Austin, Texas, and Benjamin Brandt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brothers, Lawrence Rigney of Checotah and Leroy Rigney of San Antonio, Texas; sister Elsie Hensley of Yuma, Arizona; and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 5th, Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, January 6th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
