Frances LeNell Gottsch's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Frances LeNell Gottsch, who passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born on June 27, 1939, in Maud, Oklahoma, Frances grew up in Pomona, California and later moved to Huntington Beach, California. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband Losco Lafayette McDaniel, Jr., and a devoted mother to her children Donna Marie and Lori Denise. She later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she married the late Daniel Boy Gottsch.
Frances lived a life dedicated to her family, a 42-year nursing career, and serving the Lord. She is often described as “an angel”, so it’s no surprise that her relationship with her Lord and Savior was very important to her. She loved attending church and volunteering whenever she was able.
She was sweet, kind, and caring, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind soul, generous heart, and at times a subtle stubbornness.
Frances enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved and always looked forward to holidays and events with family and friends where she could express her love through sharing a delicious meal. She also loved flowers and gardening but never considered herself as having a “green thumb”. If you were ever lucky enough to receive one of Fran’s gorgeously hand-crafted custom greeting cards, you know firsthand how creative and passionate she was about her craft.
Frances is preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Mae Bullos; her father, Arthur Verlon Little, and her late husband, Daniel Boy Gottsch. She is survived by her siblings Nancy Holte, Bruce Little, and Kristine Little; daughter Donna Marie Rushing and husband Jason; daughter Lori Denise Burns and husband Dennis; grandchildren Catherine Marie Rushing and Megan Denise Burns, all who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life Birthday Party will be held on what would have been her 85th birthday, Thursday, June 27th, at 6:00pm at Church on the Move, Tulsa Campus, 1003 N. 129th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74116.
Without a doubt, Frances heard her Heavenly Father say, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant!” Mom, you will forever be in our hearts and memories. Until we see you again, may you know that you are deeply loved and will be greatly missed!
