Frances Geneva Honaker's Obituary
Frances (Webber) Honaker was born at home on May 9, 1927 to Frank and Mabel Webber. She attended Webster High School and graduated in 1946. She attended The University of Tulsa, married Jack D. Honaker in 1949 and graduated from TU in 1950. She worked as a medical secretary while Jack attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma. She and Jack had three children, Richard, Michael and Debra Kay. After earning a nursing degree from Cameron University in 1969, she worked along side Jack in his office and was the Inservice Director at the community hospital in Frederick, Oklahoma. She enjoyed working with kids. She was a Cub Scout and Camp Fire leader and directed and choreographed musicals from 1971 to 1994 for Frederick High School. Following retirement in 1988, she and Jack volunteered for six years as medical missionaries at several overseas locations. She was voted Frederick’s most useful citizen in 1986 to honor her for her numerous volunteer activities in the community and at the high school.She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mabel Webber and husband Jack D. Honaker MD. She is survived by children: Richard (Darlene) Honaker of Ellicott City, MD, Michael (Jan) Honaker of Tulsa and Debra Kay Pool of Plano, TX. She is also survived by sister-in-law Sue Robertson (Bill) of Plano, TX. She had five grandsons: Matthew (Rebecca) Honaker, James (Kee) Honaker, Ben (Heather) Honaker, Thomas Pool and Michael Pool. And one great grandson David Jack Honaker.A memorial service will be held after the first of the year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa, OK.
