Francis Vallene Smith's Obituary
Francis Vallene Smith, 85, passed from this life on August 5, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vallene was born on January 16, 1927 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Hutton and Vida (Flippin) Hawkins. She met and married Mervin J. “M.J.” Smith on June 4, 1945 in Wagoner, Oklahoma and they shared many memorable years together until his passing. Vallene was a homemaker. Among her many hobbies were gardening, canning, reading and birdwatching. She is survived by her loving children, David M. Smith and wife, Tina and Randy J. Smith and wife, Pam; grandchildren, Deanna Smith and husband, Gary, Alisha Kilby and husband, Wes, David Smith and wife, Linda,Danny Smith and wife, April, and Derek Smith and wife, Summer; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brothers, Clinton Hawkins and wife, Billie and Joe Hawkins and wife, Ann; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other realtives. She was preceded in death by her lovng husband, Mervin J.”M.J.” Smith; brother, Lowell Hawkins; and parents. Donations may be made to the Belview Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 and Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
