Francis Louis Tomiello's Obituary
Francis Louis Tomiello Francis Louis Tomiello was born April 11, 1928, in Tontitown, Arkansas, to Louis and Mary Tomiello. Francis left this earth on December 27, 2011, at the age of 83, for a home that has been prepared for him by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hunt quail, fish, and work in his garden. Even more than his love for the outdoors was the pride he took in his craftsmanship as a tile setter. He possessed a strong work ethic and strived to do it right, every time. There was nothing more satisfying to him than to hear, 'Good job, Francis'. Even though he only had a sixth grade education, he worked hard to give his son and daughter the opportunity to go to college and give them a better life than he had. After retiring, he used his talents for the Southern Baptist Convention to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the construction of several churches from Oklahoma to Oregon and at the Tulsa Women's Baptist Shelter. He also volunteered many hours to his beloved place of worship, Garnett Road Baptist Church. Francis is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Ruth Tomiello, daughter, Barbara McGrew, son, Don Tomiello, four grandchildren, Katie McGrew Lewis, Kelsey Tomiello, Kendra Tomiello, and Kyle McGrew, and one great-grandchildren, Hunter McGrew. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin McGrew.
