Frank B. Bowen's Obituary
Frank Benjamin Bowen, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away to his heavenly home on May 6, 2015, at the age of 82. Frank was born in Claremore, OK, on December 9, 1932. He graduated from Claremore High School. He was married to Gurlee “Jerri” Bowen on November 2, 1956 for 58 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, and proudly served his country. He worked for many years in the oil and gas industry, most recently as Vice President of Crude Oil Sales at Occidental. Frank was remembered as a kind and gentle man, loved greatly by his family and friends. He enjoyed boating and fishing, sports, card club, cars, and western movies. He especially loved spending time with his grandsons and watching them play sports. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Jerri, of Tulsa; his son and his wife, Mike and Tammy, of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Matt, of Tulsa, and Drew, of La Mirada, CA, and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland and Bertha Bell Bowen, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, May 11 at Floral Haven, Tulsa. Visitation will be held from 11-8 on Sunday, May 10, with family visitation from 3-5. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
