He was born January 6, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Seco Jack Green and Lillian Lorraine Real Green. He grew up in Tulsa in an era where children rode their bikes everywhere from dawn to dusk, took in double features on Saturday in the downtown movie theaters, rode the trolley to Sand Springs, and went to Driller baseball games. For many years of his youth he had a paper route that fostered in him a sense of responsibility and the importance of being dependable and trustworthy. He spent many summers at his grandfather’s ranch in Durango further developing his appreciation of hard work in the great outdoors. These are traits he carried with him throughout his life.Frank graduated from Marquette High School in 1953 and went on to attended Oklahoma A&M for one year and the University of Tulsa for one semester after which he joined the apprentice program of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He retired at age 62.He loved watching sports especially football, basketball and baseball. Frank was a great supporter of the University of Tulsa and had season tickets for many years to the football and basketball games. And, of course, watching Jeopardy daily with his wife.Vacations were often spent in the American Southwest traveling to the many National Parks and archeological sites. He also made several trips to Central America to visit Mayan ruins. When there wasn’t time for vacations, he took just as much pleasure in running errands with his wife and stopping for an impromptu meal or an ice cream cone. Going to the movies or out to eat or taking a day trip were their mini vacations.Frank loved to socialize with his friends – meeting for breakfast, grabbing a beer, going to gun shows, etc. He had so many friends because he was such a good friend.Frank was preceded in death by his parents.
