Frank Merrill Kingsley's Obituary
Frank Merrill Kingsley, 91, passed from this life on April 27, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Frank was born on April 24, 1923 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Fredrick William and Pearl Jane (Merrill) Kingsley. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and loved his country. Frank met and married to Anna “Ann” Varuso on October 14, 1943 in New Orleans, LA and they shared 70 memorable years together. Frank was a poetry writer, a tenor in a gospel quartet and he loved playing the harmonica. Most people would remember Frank as the Manager of Coney I-Lander for 25 years. After retirement, he still delivered buns for 4-5 years. Many would remember him at the cash register at the Southroad’s location and his witty humor. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Kingsley; children, Anne Weber, Jack Kingsley and wife Lorraine Haacke, and Ed Kingsley and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Sonja Bothell and husband, Darren, Lisa Turner and Kely Kingsley; great grandchildren, Blaire and Hunter Bothell; sisters, Mildred Lyle & Elsie Focken; and brother, Chuck Kingsley. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kyle Kingsley; great grandson, Ryan Bothell; daughter-in-law, Susan Kingsley and brother, Carl “Moon” Kingsley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to Clarehouse. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 2:00PM-8:00 PM with family to greet from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 12:30 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
