Freddie Q. McCorkle's Obituary
Freddie Q. McCorkle, age 70, passed peacefully with his family by his side on February 18, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Freddie was born on May 10, 1945 to Frederick and Verna McCorkle in Tulsa, OK. He leaves behind his identical twin brother, Eddie McCorkle and wife Linda. His younger brother David McCorkle and wife Melissa, his daughter, Melissa and his beloved nieces and nephews Eddie Jr, Jennifer, Kim, Danny, Mark, Peter, Lauren, Rachel, Nathan, Meagan, Maddy, Steven, Kevin, Gary Lee, Michael, Sarah and Aaron . Survivors also include step-sister Suzie Taylor and husband Gary, step-brother Danny Wasson and wife Robin, step-brother Larry Wasson, and many extended family members and friends. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents Fred C. McCorkle and his stepmon Berneice. Freddie graduated from Charles Page High School in 1963 and enlisted in the OK Army National Guard in 1964 where he served 6 years. He was a welder and pipefitter and a 50 year member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 430 in Tulsa. Freddie was a devoted brother and friend and loved by many. He was blessed to live in a community in his later years surrounded by loving friends who helped him in many ways. Visitation is set for Sunday, February 21st from 10-8 pm with the family greeting friends from 2-5 pm at Floral Haven funeral home. No funeral services per his request.
