Galen Keith Kressenberg's Obituary
Galen Keith Kressenberg, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away March 28, 2019 at the age of 67.Keith was born in Dallas, Texas on January 25, 1952 to Bill and Wynona Kressenberg. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. He attended Stephen F Austin University until his son, Kevin, was born.He relocated to Oklahoma, met Barbara in Norman and they married in Tulsa in 1979. He started in the irrigation industry shortly thereafter, where he performed all facets of irrigation and drainage , developing a career he enjoyed for 40 years.Keith and Barbara became parents to Katlen Anne in 1989. The family moved to Broken Arrow where he lived until his death. Katlen and Zach Snider were married in 2013 and their daughter, Hannah Joelle, was born in 2017. Keith adored his granddaughter, who brought him immense joy.Keith was a drummer and lead singer in a rock and roll band named “Orange Is” back in the 70’s. He maintained a lifetime love of music encompassing all genres. He was active in the vocal and bell choirs at Fellowship Lutheran Church and a strong supporter of the Broken Arrow Pride marching band. Keith loved to travel and was looking forward to retirement and visiting all the National Parks with Barbara.Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Wynona and Bill. He is survived by his wife Barbara of Broken Arrow, Son Kevin Kressenberg of Dallas, Tx, Daughter Katlen (Zach) Snider of Moore, OK, Granddaughter Hannah and many loving cousins.A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6th at 11:00 am at Fellowship Lutheran Church at 6727 S Sheridan Rd in Tulsa, OK.
