Garrett Hyden Moss' Obituary
Garrett Hyden Moss, 91, of Tulsa, died October 8, 2013. He was born on October 28, 1921, in Haskell, Oklahoma, the son of James and Julia Ann Moss. Garrett attended Central High School, and then served in the United States Air Force during WWII following graduation. After his time in the military, Mr. Moss worked as a salesman for Continental Baking Company. On July 30, 1949, he married Doris Ann Clemons, at Trinity Baptist Church in Tulsa. He retired in 1978, after serving for 30 years. He then became a salesman for Nut Hut Candy Shop and worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter and cashier. Garrett became a Christian as a young boy. He loved the Lord and faithfully attended Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Garrett was a Mason and served on the board for the Baptist Village of Owasso. He enjoyed playing golf and listening to country and western music. He is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Moss, sons, Garrett H. Moss, Jr., and his wife, Jan, and Robert K. Moss, and his wife, Joy, granddaughter, Jennifer Moss, grandson, Stephen J. Moss, brother, Rev. Bill J. Moss, sister-in-law, Jean Moss, several nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends.
