Garry Lee McBurnett's Obituary
Garry Lee McBurnett, 61, of Tulsa, died on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born on June 12, 1953, in Rosenburg, Oregon, the son of George and Bille (Shover) McBurnett, Jr. On April 21, 1980, he married Vicki Moore, in Tulsa. He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and babying his Porsche. He always loved cars, bikes and especially Corvettes. He’d come up the stairs after work to scare the grand kids who were hiding throughout the house with a “fee-fi-fo-fum!”, waiting to squeal when found. He was an animal lover and he was gentle but strong. Loved his wife with all his heart and made sure she knew it. Liked to tease and always cracked a smart comment whenever he could. He took care of his loved ones well. His kids are so blessed. Garry accepted Jesus as his savior long ago. He is survived by his wife, Vicki McBurnett, daughter, Johnna McNair, and her husband, Chris, of Moore, OK, son, Michael McBurnett, of Tulsa, grandchildren, Nicole, Alyssa, Alan, Dustin, Amber, and Amethyst, brother, Jerry McBurnett, and his wife, Linda, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Larry McBurnett. Memorial donations may be made in Garry’s name to any of the following; Tulsa National Federation of the Blind, Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges or the ASPCA. As a tribute to Garry, his family have invited all friends and family to drive their motorcycles and favorite cars to the services.
