Gary Armstrong's Obituary
Gary Lynn Armstrong was born January 20, 1950 in Vinita, OK to J.W. (Tuley) and Ruby (Seigel) Armstrong and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday May 23, 2021 at his home in Talala, OK.
Gary graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1968. He attended one Semester at NEO in Miami, OK after high school before joining the U.S. Army on January 29, 1969. Gary served his country in Vietnam as an E5 Sgt from July 1969 to July 1970. He was honorably discharged on January 26, 1971. After being discharged Gary attended two semesters at Oklahoma State University.
Gary was a machinist and retired from American Airlines in Tulsa, OK in 2011. Gary loved spending time with his family and friends and he especially enjoyed fishing, reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Gary is survived by two sons. Gary Jr and wife Laurie Armstrong of Owasso, OK. Richard Armstrong of Stillwater, OK. One daughter, Kelli Moore of Jennings, OK. 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Brother Bob and wife Donna Armstrong, Sister Vicki and husband Louis Williams of Broken Arrow, OK. Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Gary is preceeded in death by his parents J.W. and Ruby Armstrong and brother Rodney Armstrong
Memorial services will be held Saturday June 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Floral Haven, Broken Arrow, OK.
