Gary William Axley's Obituary
Gary William Axley, 70, of Tulsa, OK, passed into the hands of God on November 16, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was reunited in Heaven with his parents.Gary was born February 10, 1949 in Tulsa, OK the son of Willard and Mildred (Nair) Axley. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam from 1967 – 1970. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1974. He married the love of his life, Eileen Klas on June 19, 1976. Gary was an Accounting Analyst at several local energy companies. He enjoyed outdoor activities that included hunting, running, cycling, and golfing. He had a passion to learn and read books about 19th and 20th century history. He loved to watch college sports on TV, and truly enjoyed taking in a movie at the theater with Eileen several times a month.Those who will miss Gary the most include his loving wife Eileen, sons Kevin Axley and Neal Axley with his wife Nicole, cherished granddaughter Julia Axley, beloved little sister Linda Axley with her husband Mark Anderson, sister-in-law Lynn Gentry, niece Leslie Miller with her husband Jason, and a host of other close family and friends from Tulsa to Minnesota.A Memorial Service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, OK, on Monday, November 25th, 2019 at 12:30pm, followed by a gathering for all with light refreshments at the Family Center of Floral Haven.Private family interment services will be held at a later date within Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Saint Paul.Please pray for the family as they lay to rest their husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle.
