Gary Don Blunt's Obituary
Surrounded by family at his home in Locust Grove, OK, Gary Don Blunt passed away from this life into eternity with his heavenly father on February 23, 2019. He is missed and celebrated by his wife, Connie May Blunt, their eight children and their families, his brother and sisters and many friends who have high regard for his kindness, faith, patriotism and passion for our democracy.Gary was born in 1935 in Cache, OK, the son of Ben and Alta Price. After graduating from Muskogee Central High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and eventually transferred to the Air Force. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 23 years of service. While in the military he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX, graduating Magna Cum Laude. As a civilian he embarked on a second career as a Quality Manager at a variety of companies before retiring to Locust Grove, OK where he and Connie have lived the past 21 years.Gary had a very deep Christian faith and this faith guided him throughout his life. Gary was dedicated to the diligent study of the U. S constitution and freely shared his insight and knowledge that others sought to gain. He was a devout, life-long fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners and like many fans, always looked forward with hope to the next season for a better outcome. But for all the seasons of his life, it was his wife Connie who he adored and with loving gratitude counted on for aid as he dealt with the challenges of living with a neuro-muscular disease. Gary Don Blunt will be missed, never forgotten and always loved.Private Family Services will held at later date.
