Gary Michael Breitbarth's Obituary
Gary Michael Breitbarth was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 25, 1951 and went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2025. Gary was a disabled Army Veteran and had served in the Vietnam War. He was always extremely proud of being able to serve his country. Following his time in the military, Gary worked as a self taught upholster. He was in upholstery most of his adult like until his health would no longer permit him to continue.
Gary loved to fish and collect all kinds of things. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter Aaliyah when she was small. They loved doing arts and crafts and going on treasure hunts in the yard. During the treasure hunts. he would bury and hide things in the yard for her to find. They would even make animals and people out of paper rolls, construction paper, glitter, and anything else that they could find. Gary would even become a willing model for Aaliyah to use face paint, nail polish, and hair clips. The two were best buds.
Gary loved learning, reading, and sharing tidbits of knowledge. He had a big laugh and loved playing jokes. Scrabble was his all time favorite game and he always won.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Robin, his father Fred Breitbarth, his mother Katherine (Hearn) Breitbarth, and his beloved grandparents.
Gary is survived by his sisters Gloria Stidam and Kathy Foster; brother Fred Breitbarth all of Missouri; granddaughter Aaliyah and her husband Samuel; two great granddaughters Eden Rose and Emery Reign; stepdaughter Alesha; and ex wife Marsha whom has spent over 20 years with Gary.
A special thank you to Lowell Howe, Gary's attorney and dear friend. Lowell went far above and beyond to help Gary take care of his affairs throughout the years and we will forever be grateful.
Gary's generosity in his last days on this earth will be remembered for a long time to come. He will be missed by all those who loved him.
