Lyn:I was Gary's baseball coach from the first grade through fourth.I also coached him in football from fourth through six grade.My son,Rob Byers,played with him when they were at Grissom Ele.School. Later they played aginst each other when Rob was at Union HS.From the first time I saw him I know he was the best athlete I had ever seen.I still remember,40 years later,the unbelievable things he was able to accomplish on the baseball and football fields at his young age.He was also a very good kid and a pleasure to be around.I will never forget Gary !Robert Byers

Lyn and Family, I was so proud of the service today. I am glad that Gary s children were there to hear all the wonderful words that were spoken about their Dad and what a legacy of friendship and sportsmanship he has left and all the lives that were touched by him. May he rest in peace and may you find peace knowing he is in a much better place and what a wonderful Mom you have been.

My name is Bob Hunt and my wife is Cathy. Our son is Richie Hunt. I was a coach in all sports from the 7th Grade thru High School from the Tulsa Central area in the late 1970's and early 1980's. I not only had the privilege of coaching my son, but I also got to coach against Gary Geiger -all thru those years. Although we had some meager success at one time or other, we always had to plan to try to defend Gary, and like the rest we were not very successful. What a great athlete and person he was. He always greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. It was an honor to have known Gary Geiger. RIP

In the early 1980's not one athlete at Tulsa Memorial embodied the term " Charger Pride" more than Gary. He was a leader on the field, court or diamond. He brought out the best in his teammates.Even 30 years later his legend lives on.God Bless Gary and rest in peace my friend.
