Gary Michael Hinnen's Obituary
Gary Hinnen passed away on Tuesday April 14th at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his father Glade (Okie) Hinnen and his mother, Gladys of Tulsa. Gary is survived by two sons, Christopher of Broken Arrow and Jeffrey and his wife, Natalie of Jenks. Also surviving is two brothers Glade Hinnen and his wife, Linda of Tulsa; Ronald Hinnen and his wife Diane of Tulsa. Gary was born and raised in Tulsa; he attended school where he was trained as a draftsman and later hired by Atlantic Richfield Company as a Geological Draftsman in Tulsa and then at the ARCO Research Lab in Plano, Texas. Gary returned to the Tulsa area to join his father in business and later by his brother, Ron, to form Okie’s Parking Lot Maintenance which then became Okie’s Asphalt. After retiring from the business, he began his own lawn maintenance service as well as helping his brother, Glade, with his business. Gary was a member of the Oklahoma Air National Guard; he loved all sports, especially bowling, football and baseball…a love he passed down to his two sons. He loved the outdoors, worked most of his life outside and absolutely loved to fish. He was a tremendous father and friend to those who knew him and will be dearly missed.Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 17th, Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow.Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 18th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with committal service to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
