Gary Lee Laughlin's Obituary
Gary Lee Laughlin, 51, of Broken Arrow Oklahoma passed away February 1st, 2016. Lee was born to Frank Edwin Laughlin and Lois Virginia (Stice) Laughlin on May 18th, 1964 in Quincy, IL. Lee graduated form Notre Dame High School in Quincy, IL in 1982. He received a bachelors degree from Bradley University in 1986. After graduation he began a life long career as a freelance video professional. Lee immediately became an integral part of the success of Teleproductions Unlimited, a partnership his father shared with Mel Elzea in Tulsa, OK. While supporting Teleproductions Unlimited for better than 20 years, Lee worked with many other video and television program producing companies. Among the many were Cox Cable, Jones Mobile Television, ESPN, Fox Sports Networks, CBS Sports Network, and Monday Night Football on ABC. In recent years Lee most enjoyed his work as an associate with Jones Mobile Television, as a video technical director on Mary Kay Seminars and as lead audio technician on Oklahoma Thunder telecasts. Two of the Thunder telecasts that Lee was a part of won Emmy Awards. Lee Laughlin is survived by his cousins Eudolphia “Dolly” Pollock of Danville, IL. and Marcellus “Shorty” Sibbing of Danville, IN and their children.Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 11th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, February 12th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.https://www.gofundme.com/awn5vzas
