Gary Wayne Lawson's Obituary
Gary Wayne Lawson, age 76, passed away on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on Wednesday, September 22nd, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gary was the beloved son of Wilford Lawson and Pearl (Giles) Lawson.
Gary’s life was a testament to his deep love for his family. He was a devoted family man, always ready to lend a helping hand and eager to attend family events. His pride and joy was his granddaughter, Bailey. Whether it was sports or school activities, Gary made it a point to be there to support her.
Gary had a passion for playing pool, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and cars. He also enjoyed fishing, especially with his wife, Monica. Gary and Monica shared 18 wonderful years together before her passing.
A proud Navy veteran, Gary served his country during the Vietnam war. He was known for his kind soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gary is preceded in death by his wife Monica Cartwright; parents Wilford and Pearl Lawson; and brother Gene Lawson.
He is survived by his daughter April Williams; granddaughter Bailey Williams; great grandchildren Virginia and Miller; siblings Norma Harvey, Loretta Bailey, and J.C. Lawson; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and friends who will cherish their memories.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at 11:30AM at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in the Veterans Field of Honor, where Gary will be reunited and laid to rest with his beloved wife Monica. The graveside service will be officiated by Brandon McCombs.
