Gavin Poppy's Obituary
Gavin Poppy was born on April 8, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Courtney and William Poppy. He had a unique and innovative mind. Whenever he had the chance, Gavin would get into the pool, even if he had all of his clothes on. He befriended animals easily, whether it was toads, his best friend Turbo Pup-Pup, or the backyard chickens he invited inside to become house chickens. His favorite color was red, and ate cheese pizza and Oreos more than any other food. Believer by Imagine Dragons stayed his favorite song since he first heard it, and Spider-Man was his hero.
He passed on from this life November 23, 2024, at the age of 8, with his parents, Courtney and William, next to him. Gavin left behind his siblings, Rylee Nikole, Caleb Anthony, Christian “Riskan” Daniel, and Levi; his grandparents, Penny and Tony “Crappa” Poppy, Becky “Momo” Johnson and Gary Smith; and his aunts and uncles Kristin “Aunt Chicken” Dial, Amy Poppy, Steven Poppy, and Taylor Hammons, who loved him as every child deserves to be loved.
