Browne, Gena Lyne's Obituary
Gena Lyne Jones-Browne, mother, daughter, and friend passed away peacefully in her home in Tulsa on May 9th, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on October 23, 1969, in Frankfurt Germany. Gena was the first-born child of Linda Tilley-Jones and Gene Jones. After returning from Germany in 1971 Gena spent her early life in Tulsa, Oklahoma where attend Webster High School in West Tulsa from 1984 – 1988.
Gena was a great pool player and after high school spent her time in the billiard rooms. That’s where she met Chuck Browne. After their wedding in 1991 Gena gave birth to their first child Charles Browne III (Chazz) in 1994 and then in 2004 their baby girl Kimberly Janae Browne was born. Gena spent her life as a dedicated mother to Chazz and Kimberly.
Gena loved music, dancing, and most of all singing! Gena’s love for music spanned many decades and genres. Some of her favorite musical acts include Sir Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, and The Beatles. She was the life of the party and will be missed by all that knew her.
Gena was preceded in death by her sister Angi Kay Jones and best friend Kimberly Janae Brewster. She is survived by her Son Chazz Browne, her Daughter Kimberly Janae Browne, her Brother Johnny Heath Jones (Bubba), her parents Linda Tompkins and Gene Jones, and lastly her Grandson Dalton Gene.
