Gene Harris' Obituary
Gene Bernard Harris, 84, of Tulsa, OK passed away on September 18, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born February 18, 1935 in Medicine Park, OK to Ted and Lena Harris. He graduated from Oklahoma A & M (OSU) in May 1957 with a degree in Building Construction and was a devout OSU supporter all his adult life.He worked and managed in every aspect of road construction. He owned his own company for several years. He was a member of the Oklahoma Asphalt Pavement Associations (OAPA) and Association of General Construction of Oklahoma (AGC).Gene was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Lena Harris; 2 brothers Lee and Jack Harris; and his first wife Alice Harris.He is survived by his sister Joann Williams and husband Buddy of Jones, OK.Gene is survived by his present wife Sherran of 19 years of the home; daughters Tammy Horton and husband Wes of Tulsa; Kelli O’Neill and husband Paul of Broken Arrow, OK; Son Mark Harris and wife Melissa of Tulsa, also step daughter Cheri Holland of Tulsa and step son Douglas Foster of Catoosa; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren with one on the way.Visitation will be Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 1 -5 PM with Family to receive friends 5 – 7PM. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Monday, September 23 at Fellowship Bible Church with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Little Light House.Homepage5120 E 36th St, Tulsa, OK 74135
