Genell Beth Blair's Obituary
Genell Beth Blair, age 73, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born to Bill and Maxine Garms on February 19, 1952, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.
After graduating from Memorial High School in 1970, Genell attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa and later worked for United Films Corporation, Dillard’s, and spent many years at Foley’s.
In 1969, she began dating the love of her life, Robert Blair. They married in 1972 and had two children, Brooke and Jason.
In the early 2000s, Genell retired and enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She loved knitting, gardening, attending movies with Robert, going to craft shows with friends, and volunteering for RSVP and DVIS.
Genell was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Maxine Garms. She is survived by her husband, Robert Blair; her three siblings, Georgia Klabzuba and John, Gayle Larimore and Jim, and Gregory Garms; her two children, Brooke Acosta and Jesse, Jason Blair and Brittany; her seven grandchildren, Connor Case and fiance Jenna, Chandler Case, Cash Case, Devin Acosta, Kenzie Acosta, Braden Blair, and Tripp Blair; and her four great-grandchildren, Levi Jolley, Lennox Jolley, Emerlynn Case, and Payton Case.
Genell was deeply loved by all who knew her, and her warm spirit touched the lives of many. Her family and friends will cherish the memories of her kindness, witty humor, and unwavering support. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of comfort, and it means so much to us as we honor her remarkable life. Thank you for being a part of her journey and for celebrating the wonderful person she was.
On Monday, April 21, 2025, the family will lay her to rest at a burial service at Floral Haven Cemetery at 10:00 AM. We will honor her life and love at a wake with family and friends, with the location and time to be determined.
