Geof Paul Eng, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away July 3, 2018 at the age of 47. He was born September 30, 1970 to Richard Eng and Frances Hom in Hartford, Connecticut.Geof received a degree in exercise science and was an athletic trainer and owner / operator of a health and tennis club for 16 years. He was a loyal and devoted husband, who was a whole-hearted committed father of 5 children and passionate follower of Jesus Christ.Geof was an avid sports enthusiast, political advocate, volunteer coach and trainer, who loved spending time with his wife and children and volunteering at church, school, in the community and working on their hobby farm.Geof became a Christian at a very early age in Sunday school he always remembers loving Jesus and knowing who he is in Christ. We all are stronger and more focused because of his consistent Godly leadership. We could not of asked for anything more other than more time with him.As an athletic trainer for the Washington Redskins, he was most known for training professional athletes he also loved to train elderly clients and people with disabilities or kids that were chasing a dream. He truly believed we are all equal in God’s eyes. His Legacy remains that all that matters is who you are on the inside and who God created you to be and that you’re living up to your full God-given potential. He has lived by example and instilled this in our kids throughout the years. After the Washington Redskins he transferred to Dallas where he trained athletes from the Dallas Cowboys.Geof never wavered in his faith he only became stronger and stronger in being a man of God. He never asked why or he never felt sorry for himself. He had the ability to focus on the positive in any situation or in any person he met. As a family we vowed to continue his legacy and to let his light shine brightly through us.He was passionate about coaching his kids in sports. He would work with them countless hours at home preparing them mentally and physically for game day. He always taught them to win humbly and lose graciously. He taught them that no not everyone is the winner and that’s OK. Let it challenge you and drive you to do better but don’t let that take anything away from who you are and who God created you to be.His laugh was contagious and filled a room.
