I only hope that I can live a life like George. He was a dear friend and we enjoyed a lot of time together. I only wish there were more time.
I first met Mr. Banasky in 2007 when I presented a military program for the Silver Beavers organization. In later years, I'd see him at the Wanamacher Gun shows and when I'd get to present displays at the annual family days at the airport. He was one of the friendliest people I've had the pleasure to me. Always showed a smile. Occasionally I'd drop by the house and visit.
I remember one occasion when I purchased a carbine from him at the gun show. My wife wasn't real happy as we still had kids in school and more bills to pay. I returned to the gun show the next day and he graciously smiled and let me return the carbine. (I DO wish I had kept it !!!). I enjoyed talking with him about the P-51 Mustang and telling him about my Dad who flew Navy F6F Hellcat in WWII. Fly high! Keith Myers, a friend.
